\"Tim<\/p>\n

We are pleased to announce that Tim Frandy will be Guest Editor of the 2018 Environmental Humanities edition of the Journal of Folklore and Education<\/em>, “Common Ground: People and Our Places.” As a JFE author, professor of folklore, and researcher of folklore and environments, his expertise will bring fresh perspective to the Journal and be instrumental in shaping this coming special issue. Tim will help bring new authors to the Journal, inform the review process, and will be working closely with accepted authors as we finalize the 2018 issue.<\/p>\n

Tim is Assistant Professor of Folk Studies at Western Kentucky University. His research involves folklore and environments, the medical humanities, cultural worldview, informal economy, and cultural sustainability. He has worked with subsistence hunters, trappers, fishers, wild-ricers, berry pickers, traditional healers, bushcrafters, and traditional artists in northern Indigenous and settler communities.<\/p>\n
