She is a graduate student at Western Kentucky University where she is pursuing her MA in Folk Studies with a concentration in public folklore. In the spring she will be conducting a folklife survey of southern Indiana as part of her capstone project for her final semester in the program.<\/p>\n<p>Burden is excited to step into the role of book reviews editor as an extension of her desire to work at the intersection of public folklore and folklore and education to do work that empowers individuals, engages communities, fosters equity, and promotes advocacy.
