Local Learning has been growing, too, and we&#8217;re excited to share what we&#8217;ve been up to.<\/p>\n<p>In New York, our Folklore in Education Network continues to expand. We made new connections at the New York State Council for the Social Studies conference where educators were interested in bringing interviewing and local culture into their classrooms. This summer we are again offering two Culture, Community, and the Classroom workshops in the Greater Capital Region and Binghamton, reaching more teachers, traditional artists, and students. New this year, we are offering two spring workshops for teachers on using ethnographic methods (Hudson, NY) and local primary sources (Glens Falls, NY) in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond New York, Local Learning is also leading a workshop for Chicago educators on\u00a0narrative, identity, and representation in museums.<\/p>\n<p>Our partners have been growing, too. Take for instance Vicie A. Rolling, a 2020 CCC teaching artist who is working on a new production featuring family folklore.
